What does it mean to be a patriot?

If you're John Bolton and speaking to the Conservative Political Action Conference, it means hoping for a nuclear terrorist attack to prove your political point.

Hawkish neocons are all but rooting for America to be attacked, just so they can say "I told you so" about President Obama's foreign policy.

Anyone else find it odd that these folks consider themselves true patriots?

Does anyone find it odd that the post John links to, Olbermann on TV, and everyone ripping Bolton fails to give the context of the comment.
Bolton says discussing the "tiny threat" that Iran poses, "Is the loss of one American city, pick one at random, Chicago, is that a tiny threat?" Not smiling, as the crowd laughs, the next word he says is "No". Shaking his fist with every word, he goes on, "A threat to the safety of ANY American is a threat to our nation".
Jut slightly different from "hoping for a nuclear terror attack"
