This is so close to reality, it's hardly satire. (That's my silent weeping you hear in the background.)
As usual, it's up to the satirists to call a spade a spade.

He sent his daughter to Reed in Portland?? That is like Rush sending his son to Berkeley in the '60's. It might be sad if this was not common. People know what they have never read.
